EcoSkills proudly joins Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Community

At EcoSkills, we practice what we preach. As a newly fledged member of the GRI community, we further our commitment to sustainable practices by ensuring that we provide our course participants with the skills to apply these globally acknowledged ESG frameworks. Moreover, at an organizational level, we confirm that we remain within the bounds of these quantitative standards set by the industry leading GRI program.

Based in the Netherlands and established in 1997, GRI is an independent, international organization that helps businesses and other organizations take responsibility for their global impacts by providing them with a global common language (framework) to communicate these impacts. Today, more than 10,000 companies around the world use GRI for their sustainability reporting.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of GRI, Eelco van der Enden “GRI is grateful for EcoSkill’s contribution to our mission through membership of the GRI Community. Our members are vital in helping us advance the knowledge and practice of the GRI   Standards to improve the quality and application of sustainability reporting worldwide. This influential global network is committed to using corporate transparency to foster innovation and advance responsible business practices in support of a sustainable future.”

The GRI Standards are the world’s most widely used standards for sustainability reporting. Leading businesses in more than 100 nations have adopted them widely, and policy instruments and stock exchange guidance are based on them everywhere.

The Chief Learning Officer in EcoSkills, George Markezinis, mentions“As a GRI member, EcoSkills will leverage this partnership to further enrich our course offerings and ensure that our delegates receive cutting-edge insights and training in line with the internationally recognized ESG reporting frameworks. Our commitment to promoting sustainable practices extends beyond just education; we aspire to empower a new generation of professionals, leaders, and changemakers to build a more sustainable and equitable future.”

In celebration of our membership in the GRI community, we encourage individuals, businesses, and organizations who are passionate about sustainability to act and join us on this transformative journey.
